Lucía and Manuel are married, they are young adults, they have a son and they find it difficult to find common desires. They think they share a dream: building a house with a garden out of town. They sell their apartment and move with Lucía’s mother, waiting for the building to progress. But Manuel runs away and takes refuge in his parents’ home, where he feels relieved. Although they do not want to admit it, Lucía and Manuel begin to live apart. At full speed, riding a motorcycle and dazzled by the night lights, they chase forgotten fantasies and drift apart. They feel teenagers and discover themselves immature. Building a place to meet again seems difficult, and discovering all they have made collapse, too.
Aire Libre is a generational reflection on love and adulthood, fidelity to those we love and betrayal of personal longings.
